Meet Lauryn
Lauryn Jay writes stories about love (the good, fun, and messy) and is passionate about deconstructing the kind of love that leaves a mark. Because love isn’t perfect. But it’s always worth exploring.
Her stories explore the people who shape us, the relationships that change us, and the choices we make when love turns out to be more complicated than we expected. Sometimes that story unfolds over decades. Sometimes it comes with bad timing, unexpected chemistry, and a sense of humor.
But underneath it all is a fascination with investigating relationships: how we connect, what we hold onto, what we let go of, and why some relationships leave a mark long after the moment has passed.
Writer. Traveler. Wine enthusiast. Relationship Investigator.
Life Beyond the Page
Lauryn lives in Atlanta with her husband and two daughters, who inspire her to keep chasing the things that matter to her.
When she isn’t writing, she’s usually traveling somewhere new, sharing a great meal, drinking excellent wine, spending time with family and friends, or attempting not to ruin her vegetable garden.
Travel is a particularly important part of Lauryn’s life and creative process. She loves discovering new places, meeting new people, and experiencing different cultures. While Atlanta is home, the ocean and the desert continue to call her back.
The Stories
Lauryn is the author of You, Always: The Years of Us, a story about two people, forty years, and a love that evolves alongside them.
Her newest novel, So I Guess I’m Writing a Rom-Com, follows a mystery writer who doesn’t believe in love and suddenly finds herself forced to write about it.
Different stories. Different kinds of love. The same curiosity about what happens when real people try to navigate relationships that rarely go according to plan.
Lauryn is currently writing her third novel.
